Allegro ma non Troppo

Allegro ma noon Troppo is a solo piece for a percussionist and tape composed by Unsuk Chin (1961). Composer Chin’s powerful music style and the fact that she is female, makes her stand out in this male-dominated profession. Allegro na non Troppo consists of sounds of paper, clocks, drops of water and various percussion instruments. The performer and the electronic sounds are forged into one super-instrument. The player becomes engaged in a surreal dialogue with the virtual percussionist.
